3) ASSISTANT DEPUTY MINISTER, CONSUMER SERVICES

In this key leadership role, you will gauge the need for consumer protection, education and industry regulation in the Alberta marketplace, and oversee legislative, policy and regulatory frameworks that govern the market conduct of consumers and businesses. Your broad strategic focus and expertise in governance will guide a team in seeking opportunities to create new models of business delivery while maintaining high standards of consumer protection, awareness, advocacy and business practice. 4) CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER - Municipal Joint Services Board, Lunenburg Region -
Bridgewater, NS

In April, 2013, the Municipal Joint Services Board (MJSB), Lunenburg Region was created by the three Municipalities: Municipality of the District of Lunenburg, Town of Bridgewater and Town of Mahone Bay. The prime objective of the MJSB is to explore common services provided to the residents by the participating municipalities and to initiate and operate regional shared services initiatives.

As the first Chief Operating Officer of the MJSB, you will provide an active leadership role in the development of the MJSB initiatives and operating targets. You will oversee a broad range of operational, human resource, contract administration and financial activities of the MJSB. You will assist in the development of appropriate action plans, policies and procedures to ensure MJSB delivers services efficiently and effectively. You will act as an adviser to the MJSB and to ensure MJSB achieves its targets as outlined in the Strategic and Business Plan.
